Position Overview
The KSFI Mid-Day Talent is a dynamic, listener-focused on-air host who brings warmth, authenticity, and connection to our weekday mid-day programming. This role is responsible for creating an engaging, live, and interactive radio experience that feels personal, relatable, and companionable to our core audience. As a key on-air representative of KSFI, this position extends beyond the studio—actively participating in community events, station remotes, and digital platforms to strengthen listener relationships and represent the KSFI brand with professionalism and heart
Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.
- This position is an on-site role that requires the employee to regularly work at our Salt Lake City site.
- Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
What You Will Do:
Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Appear at station remotes as needed.
- Attend community events and serve as a visible, engaging, and positive representative of KSFI.
- Own the mid-day daypart by building strong connections with our loyal listeners—Women and Adults 54+—through great music, relatable conversation, and genuine warmth.
- Create a live, daily interactive show that feels like catching up with a trusted friend and an essential part of listeners’ daily routines.
- Develop and share engaging content across social media platforms to extend the show’s reach and deepen audience engagement.
- Complete the behind-the-scenes preparation, production, and follow-up work necessary to deliver a high-quality, successful radio show.
Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:
- A minimum of 10 years of on-air experience.
- A strong social media presence and mastery of Instagram, TikTok, and how to extend your brand online.
- Familiarity with the Adult Contemporary format and a clear understanding of what makes our audience tune in.
- Strong public speaker
- Technical proficiency with Zetta, Adobe, or similar broadcast systems.
- Host/Producer of a weekly :30-minute community service show.
- A genuine, relatable personality that resonates with women while appealing broadly.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to handle stress.
- Ability to consistently work hours required. Works more when required to meet deadlines including weekends, evenings, etc.
- Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
- Maintain positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management and clients
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel, Word and Adobe acrobat.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and work with minimum supervision.
- Strong self-motivation, well organized, and dependable.
- Project pleasant, friendly, professional, business-like demeanor in person, over the telephone and through e-mail.
Physical Demands
- Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate computer keys and general office equipment. Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Lift, move, and carry up to 25 pounds on occasion.
