Group of 6 stations in small Southern Illinois market in search of full time news director. Having sports play by play experience would be helpful as well. We are a family owned group and work as a family. No “that’s not in my job description” here. We take care of each other. We encourage character and personality. We need someone who isn’t afraid to hit the streets and get pics and video of news happening. Report on it on the radio, and write website news stories, before the competition does. This isn’t just a sit in your office and listen to the police scanner position. This is a job for a person with a passion for radio…and a passion to win. Occasionally appear at station events and be a professional ambassador for our group. And as I stated, if you can do sports play by play, that’s a plus. More opportunities for you. We need you!
