Cumulus Media Reno is seeking a dynamic, creative, and strategic leader to serve as our Program Director, while also hosting the award winning KBUL FM morning show. It could also be a rare opportunity to be the voice, vision, and driving force behind one of the strongest multi station clusters in the West.

Our Reno cluster includes KBUL‑FM (Country), KKOH‑AM (News/Talk), KNEV‑FM (Urban Classic), and KWYL‑FM (CHR).

This hands‑on leadership position blends on‑air excellence with strategic oversight. You’ll lead by example each morning, then guide, coach, and inspire your team throughout the day.

 

Key responsibilities include hosting KBUL mornings, setting content vision, hiring and developing talent, collaborating with sales on revenue‑generating ideas, and driving a positive, high‑performance culture.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and manage the sound, image, music, brand, and vision of (insert stations here) through all distribution channels to reach and exceed goals
• Successfully coach, direct, develop, appraise and motivate on-air talent/content creators
• Deliver unique content that attracts the target demo, and grows audience
• Work closely with the sales team to develop and enhance client relationships
• Work closely with marketing team to develop contests, promotions and big events
• Ensure operation of station in accordance with FCC regulations and policies

 

Qualifications:

• Preferred track record of successful programming experience
• Strong social and digital experience
• Savvy computer skills and proficiency with ratings, digital metrics, and research
• Ability to multi-task and the discipline to focus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Creative and strategic problem solver
• Deep knowledge of music, pop culture and current events

Pay Range

USD $60,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
