Position Overview

Cumulus Media | Cincinnati is looking for our next Program Director for Warm 98.5 (WRRM-FM).  The job: Program ONE station and make it the leader in a highly competitive market.  If your current staff will miss when you leave, you’re the leader we want.  Other job duties include the typical Program Director stuff…schedule music, work with sales, write creative liners, do a show (not a shift), coach talent and make the station famous.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and manage the sound, image, music, brand and standards of Warm 98.5
• Reach ratings, revenue and profitability goals
• Coach, direct, develop and motivate on-air talent
• Deliver unique content to attract the target demo and grow terrestrial/digital audience
• Collaborate with sales team to enhance client relationships and revenue
• Work with marketing team to develop contests, promotions and events to raise brand profile
• Host a show, operate control board, as well as remote and other related production equipment
• Music scheduling
• Ensure operation of station in accordance with FCC regulations and policies

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of successful programming experience and winning track record backed by ratings results preferred
• Strong social and digital experience
• Savvy computer skills and proficiency with ratings, research and music (Stratus) programs
• Ability to multi-task and the discipline to focus on what is the highest and best use of your time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with air staff, departments and clients
• Creative and strategic problem solver
• Deep knowledge of music, pop culture and current events and how they relate to the station’s target demographic
• Maintain relationships in the music/entertainment community

Pay Range

USD $75,200.00 - USD $94,000.00 /Yr.
