Connoisseur Media in Palm Springs is looking for a motivated and energetic Part-Time On-Air & Production/Promotions Assistant to help keep our stations sounding local, fresh, and engaging every single day. This is a mission-critical role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats—from creating on-air content and producing commercials to supporting promotions and helping uncover new local opportunities. What You’ll Do
Create Local Content
•
Keep Promo Calendar current
•
Research local happenings daily and add them to the station calendar.
•
Identify potential opportunities for giveaways, remotes, or sponsorships.
Production Support
•
Record and produce commercial spots and advertisements for clients.
•
Assist with spec spots for the sales team when needed.
•
Refresh older production audio and maintain organized audio files and assets.
Programming & Operations
•
Participate in board operation and on-air training.
•
Practice transitions, timing, and troubleshooting while sitting in on live shows.
Promotions & Community Outreach
•
Contact local businesses to secure gift cards, experiences, or prizes for giveaways.
•
Track outreach efforts and follow-ups with businesses.
•
Assist with station events, remotes, and promotions when needed.
•
Capture photos or video at events for station use.
Digital Support
•
Assist with social posts or event promotion when time allows.
•
Clip and repurpose on-air audio for digital platforms.
Additional Responsibilities
• Prepare reports for station management as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in radio, television, cable, media traffic, production, or related media roles.
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Interest in broadcasting, promotions, and local community engagement.
