Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Broadcast Operator to join our team in Culver City. You will be responsible for the seamless execution of live and recorded radio broadcasts, ensuring that all technical elements—from board operations to satellite feeds—meet our high standards for professional audio delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Board Operation: Manage live and recorded air-shifts, maintaining consistent audio levels and executing smooth transitions between programming elements.
Technical Monitoring: Monitor outgoing signals and satellite feeds to ensure broadcast integrity; troubleshoot technical issues in real-time.
Content Management: Record, edit, and archive program segments and commercial spots using digital audio workstations.
Compliance: Maintain accurate transmitter and program logs in accordance with FCC regulations and company policy.
Collaboration: Coordinate with producers, talent, and engineers to ensure all show requirements are met and executed on schedule.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in radio broadcasting or live audio production is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with broadcast automation systems (e.g., Enco, Comrex Access or Bric and Streamyard) and digital audio editing software.
Reliability: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure, live environment.
Availability: Must be flexible to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for a part-time schedule.
