Information Talk STL Radio Secures Its Metro Region Signal
On August 5, 2021, a neighborhood advertising agreement was created that provided Epic STL LLC, working as News Talk STL Radio, the right to run a Class C3 FM offering a rural section of the St. Louis DMA well to the northwest of the metropolitan area. In June 2023, News Talk STL Radio exercised its option to get that center in a purchase agented by Greg Guy.
Currently, News Talk STL Radio is getting the FM translator it uses as its primary full-metro signal.
Pending FCC authorization, K270BW at 101.9 MHz in Bellefontaine, Mo., will officially end up being a brother or sister to KNBS-FM 94.1 in Bowling Green, Mo., bought by News Talk STL Radio from Gateway Creative Broadcasting in 2015.
Offering K270BW is Educational Media Foundation. It prepares for an October 2024 closing day.
EpicSTL Managing Partner Joe Rusch said, “This arrangement protects the future of NewsTalkSTL on the St. Louis radio dial, and we are thankful to EMF for their support.” NewsTalkSTL President of Programming Jeff Allen included, “As huge companies remain to control today’s radio dial, we are thrilled to have the ability to return neighborhood market radio to regional market ownership and shows.”
