Orban and Super Hi-Fi Introduce an “All-in-One” Optimod
Orban and Super Hi-Fi collectively announced the most up to date addition to the Optimod line of product.
They’re defining the Optimod 5950 Super Hi-Fi Edition as “an all-in-one transmitter-based cloud playout device.” It integrates Orban audio processing and Super Hi-Fi’s AI-powered programming along with the just recently introduced HLS+ delivery innovation.
They call this “an all-in-one home appliance developed to replace shelfs of playout tools, sound handling, PPM encoding and metadata web servers in a single 1U rackspace,” including that it is planned to assist radio terminals simplify their tech stacks.
The box collaborates with HLS+ so stations can provide broadcasts and accurate metadata along with interactive, tailored variations of those same programs via mobile applications, clever audio speaker assimilations and internet clients.
In Super Hi-Fi’s vision, “Radio companies can set, picture, voice track and broadcast their stations from a web internet browser making use of Super Hi-Fi’s Program Director, provide it to the transmitter and other electronic endpoints making use of Super Hi-Fi’s HLS+ streaming technology, and play it out at the transmitter site with extraordinary fidelity and control, apply best-in-class PPM encoding and enable premium metadata result.”
Orban President David Day claimed, “Together with Super Hi-Fi, we’re building a 100% cloud-based system with trusted and durable playout, right at the transmitter site … No more automation systems, say goodbye to specialized PCs, say goodbye to closets filled with rack-mounted equipment.”
On Thursday, Super Hi-Fi announced StreamPlayer 1, a transmitter-based cloud-playout gadget for FM, HD Radio, and DAB/DAB+ broadcasts that sets you back $799.
“With its smooth combination with Super Hi-Fi’s HLS+ streaming modern technology and durable functions, StreamPlayer 1 makes certain premium quality continuous broadcasting, even in the event of internet blackouts.”
This box was created in collaboration with Barix. Super Hi-Fi calls StreamPlayer 1 “a dependable, economical means to obtain and transmit Super Hi-Fi’s HLS+ cloud-based terminal streams straight at the transmitter, while automatically generating and keeping backup shows to maintain terminals on the air.” In case of internet blackouts, StreamPlayer 1 programs a completely created fallback program.
